Federal Tax Credits

Homeowners can receive a tax credit of 10% of the cost, up to $500, for Metal Sales metal roof panels installed on their principal residence. The deduction applies to roofs installed between January 1, 2011, and December 31, 2016. With Metal Sales, environmental efficiency goes hand-in-hand with financial efficiency.

Receiving Tax Credits

How much: 10% of the cost (not including installation costs), up to $500

Timing: Must be installed on your "principal residence" between January 1, 2011, and December 31, 2016

Details: "Metal roofs with appropriate pigmented coatings" are eligible

How to Apply: File Tax Form 5695 with your tax return. You must have a Manufacturer's Certification Statement to qualify. Metal Sales Manufacturer's Certification Statements are available for your download below.
